OK, here's the deal. Last weekend a small group of motorcycle riders were enjoying a peaceful day out when they were traveling down Meadow Bridge Road in the Fruitland area. As the lead rider was passing the Brewington's home, their dog went after the first rider, missed and then went after the second rider. Unfortunately the stupid dog was able to latch onto the second rider and caused an accident. The bike was severely damaged and there was also injuries to that rider.
Here's the deal. The lead rider was the husband and the second rider, (who wrecked) was his WIFE. It has been reported that this is NOT the first time the Brewington's dog has gone after bikers or bicyclists. In fact, if YOU have even been a victim of such attacks by this/these animal/s please contact the WCSO and let them know.
Besides the criminal charges filed yesterday, a civil lawsuit will likely follow on behalf of the victim. If found guilty the fine should only be around $50.00 but it will also mean the Brewington's are liable for the accident and the lawsuit could be hefty.
Former County Council Candidate Mike Brewington, (Julie's husband) was recently charged criminally by the WCSO for a DUI and possession of CDS the following day.
It's important for all motorcycle riders to be well aware of the history of this animal coming after bikers on this road. If you happen to know of another home where dogs tend to come out after you, please let everyone know in comments so we can all avoid traveling in that direction.
